DVD Cover & Flash Ad
You will design the cover (front only) for a movie
that is coming out on DVD, and a commercial for the DVD in Flash. The cover must not contain any objectionable
or inappropriate images or text.
This
cover image should:
- Be
5 inches wide x 7 inches high
- Be
made in Illustrator (you
may use PhotoShop for part or all of
the cover art, but the finished product
must be saved in Illustrator).
- Name
each layer!
- Use
a Bryce image for the
background (one that you make yourself).
This can be realistic or abstract.
- Use
filter and/or layer effects
- Have
text that identifies the actors and name
of the movie
All
artwork should be your
original work.
You
may not use any images from the Internet
or other sources unless you alter them
significantly.
Examples
would be outlining a figure in
a photograph with the pen tool
to make a vector path and filling the
selection, or using a filter effect
on the photo. |
The Flash movie
about the DVD should be like
a television commercial announcing the
upcoming release of the DVD.
Requirements
for the Flash movie:
- At
least 15 seconds long
- No
less than 12 frames per second
- Use
a shape tween
- Use
a motion tween
- Name
each layer!
- If
more than 1 scene, name your scenes also.
- Include
text that gives:
- name
of movie, stars, and director
- date
of release (“Coming Soon
. . .”)
- “quotes” from
reviews of the movie (you can make
these up)
Folder
Setup & File Names
Make
a new folder in your X: folder
named lastname_final. In
that folder, save
- the
Bryce background as "bryce_final" (you
should have both .bmp and .br5 files),
- the
DVD cover as "illus_final" (save as both an .ai file and export as a .jpg file )
and
- the
movie as "flash_final" (save as .fla, .swf, and .html files)
You should have 7 (SEVEN) files in the folder you turn in. |
